Robots to begin bid to contain Gulf leak by Monday

Gusher will get worse, but replacement cap should be snugger fit

BP has high hopes for new cap.

Undersea robots manipulated by engineers a mile above will begin work Saturday
removing the containment cap over the gushing well head in the Gulf of Mexico,
the first part of a plan that could lead to the containment of all the oil as soon as Monday.

48 skimmers are on site while the cap is off and the well is open. Making it the largest skimming operation in history.
