Panhandle Tourism Stages Big Comeback from BP Oil Spill
New tourism data shows the Florida Panhandle is bouncing back from the BP oil spill.
Business in the Panhandle is up 30 percent from last year and some areas are setting new records in lodging revenues.
Panama City Beach is one of the tourist destinations on a record pace this year. It posted its biggest month ever in July - up 51 percent from a year ago when the region was struggling with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
