Reject Windows 10; Switch To Linux Instead: Free Software Foundation.
Monday, August 03, 2015: Tech giant Microsoft has just rolled out the long awaited Windows 10 with much hype. And now we hear that the software firm will release the first major update within this month. While tech buffs are speculating as to what this new upgrade would be, Free Software Foundation has published a very enthralling statement urging them to embrace Linux and say good bye to Windows 10 forever.
"The Free Software Foundation urges everyone to reject Windows 10 and join us in the world of free software. Like all proprietary software, Windows 10 puts those that use it under the thumb of its owner. Free software like the GNU/Linux operating system treats users as equals and gives them control over their digital lives," reads the bold statement by FSF.
GNU/Linux operating system provides open-source software, and gives users the freedom to learn how the program works, and change it according to their needs. Hence, the free software is the perfect solution for enthusiasts who wish to study or adjust software to their requirements.
While Microsoft refrains people from getting the full access to its core, the Free Software Foundation criticises the tech firm for their draconian laws saying that "Because it is fundamentally insecure and scoffs at privacy, Windows is an open window onto you."
With the issue of this statement, Free Software Foundation has taken a courageous step for instructing computer users across the globe to not upgrade to Windows 10 and switch to Linux instead.
