Dougherty gang may be in Colorada

COLORADO SPRINGS -- Police in Colorado Springs are urging residents to be on high alert, saying they believe three siblings accused in a crime spree in the southern U.S. are now in Colorado.

The FBI will be in the Springs Wednesday, looking for surveillance video from business such as gas stations and banks that the trio might have visited.

The three -two brothers and a sister- are being dubbed the “Dougherty Gang.”

Authorities believe the trio hs camping equipment and they very well could be trying to hide out in the Colorado mountains.

"They are very dangerous," said Sgt. Steve Noblitt, with the Colorado Springs Police Department. He says if anyone sees the suspects or the car they should not approach the three, but should call 911.

They were last seen driving a small white 4-door Subaru Impreza with Texas license plates LCS-909. The car was stolen.

Dougherty Gang Caught In Southern Colorado

COLORADO -- Three fugitive siblings wanted in a crime spree in Florida and Georgia were captured Wednesday in Colorado after leading officers on a high-speed chase and crashing their car into a barrier on a highway, authorities said.
